thank goodness you and your dad are alright.
when it comes to electrical stuff, it's better to be safe than sorry. i would dump the whole thing and get a new set. if u want to keep the casing for diy, best to get someone experienced to help. Last edited by elimmel; 05-03-2005 at 01:11 AM. |

shouldn't have switch it on when it is wet...
like other brothers said, wat u can do is replace the parts piece by piece, first the tube then the ballast... but make sure that it is completly dry before u do the test... can dry it using a hairdryer... lucky that no one is injured in this accident. |

woh. me too
Was adjusting my tank just now. I have 2 light sets and i stacked my "boyu" style like on to my 2x15 watt atman. Because my atman is not the extendable type (i place my lights flush on the tank) it slipped into the water. Luckily the power supply tripped (plus atman is 3-pinned, is earthed), cos my hand were in the water trying to hold the lights up underwater.
will follow advice on this thread and dry it before testing. So far the Tubes are alright. regards |
