Hi if you are familiar with ulu tiram area the main big LFS is along jalan bukit jaya, near the shop houses off jalan denai 5. they have quite a collection i must say. And they also specialise in ADA stuff, amazonia 2 is cheaper. They also cater for iwagumi enthuiast the last time i checked.

Visiting these LFSes across the causeway is cheap provided you are there because you have a purpose to be there and along the way you buy your aquarium needs.
But, to go across the causeway just to buy common fish or equipment is not worth the time/effort and money IMHO.

cheers

In terms of equipment, is there any savings compared to here because of exchange rate? Like a $100 equipment here, will it be about RM200? Like that you could save about $10 in SGD due to the currency.

Not counting your fuel costs and toll charges and parking coupon tickets? Savings not much really. Been to a few, most recent being Jurassic Aquarium, for the DC Auto Pump. Not much out of the ordinary, but they did have some nice-looking rays and aros. Didn't ask the price though. Accessories-wise, found it to be quite well stocked, but definitely not as much variety as our LFSs here. Overall, I think not really worth the trouble. But if you're talking about heading up to the farms in the northern parts for Gold XBs and stuff, that I think more worth it if you intend to purchase a few and have them shipped in.

U mean Chatuchak? We dont have such streets here.. sadly.. I wish we have something like that!

Isaac, time to explore the northern part

Actually, some of the accessories, foods, medications price in Singapore are way lower.. And lfs in Sg have more products than us! So many choices.. here (In Penang) are filled with chinabeng products..

hi bro, thanks for the directions. i just remembered there's another pet shop in Carrefour, just before Jusco. remembered seeing lizards and turtles there as well
the thing about driving in m'sia is that i always just memorise the roads, not the road names cos i always cannot find the road signs

I also interested to take a look. Why don't we all go together in a mini-bus and visit JB LFS?
