On a closer look, I notice that the spots between the body stripes appears to line up like a stripe. If it is a stripe then my earlier deduction of zebra angelfish stays. However if they are just spots, then it is a spotted silver or possibly a wild silver.

Seems very unlikely to be a wild silver don't you think? Spots of wild silver are few and barely noticeable at this size. Probably leopard or zebra genes?

Yes u do hv a pt regarding the lesser number of spots on wild silver. I read in one of a thread by Ken that he tried selective breeding to pass the traits of angelfish with specks to produce a new type of leopard angelfish. The traditional leopard angelfish has 2 doses of smokey gene and one/two doses of zebra gene. During young, these angelfish only hv spots but do not hv any body stripes but they grow up to look like chocolate angelfish (due to 2 doses of smokey). So this particular piece is definitely not the traditional leopard angelfish.
