Although they are nothing much compared to many monster and expensive pleco keepers here, these bristlenoses are still my pride and joy!

V cute juvs and BNs from Dr ong and Afters.
Anw bro Afters, how long have you been keeping your L144? Care to share your setup and parameters? Tried keeping them but failed. Longest survivor I had was 1 month.Realized that some bros experienced that too. |

Very nice BN, can't help but notice tho that you are using soil as substrate.. As plecos will thrash around and cause e soil to disintegrate, you may want to consider changing to bare btm or sand

Thanks bro, the soil is actually remnant ADA africana from my apisto tanks. Heard that starlights prefer lower pH so I used a sprinkle of africana over river sand. So far no disintegration yet because there's only so much they can trash with their tiny fins. But I am looking forward to replacing the ada soil with maybe either a peat moss cartridge in the filter, or a ktp leaf substrate, as i foresee a 'cloudy' issue surfacing when they grow bigger. |
