Hi Bro,
On top of what Bro Jon-san mentioned. You might want to use magic clean paper for water clarity, I used these paper, and my tank is very clear. http://www.arofanatics.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=425507 cc is for stabilze your pH, since your pH drop to 5, it is time to put cc. Just my thought. Why not throw in some small fishes, so that you will know whether your tank is in good condition. Cheers. Last edited by FanAromatic; 23-11-2011 at 03:25 PM. |

thanks Jon-san for answering. Yes, there are many factors in achieving clear water. having sufficient media and bb is one of the more important factor.

once u intro ur fish, ur WC is up to ur own personal practice. there is no universal correct method. how big is ur sump? how much vol of biohome and CR do u have? 70-30 ratio in a 2ft sump VS same ratio in a 4ft sump is very different. medias, as the name suggests, serves as a medium where bb will colonise and cultivate. whether to add more CR depends on how much u alry have, and how much fish u wana keep in the tank. for cycling, i dun think u need to throw 1 piece everyday. once shld be sufficient. |

Haha.. can also la.. just that if they die means the condition might be super bad.. was just reading that the longkang fish can survive super harsh water temp and conditions..called mosquito fish in USA in singapore should be a strain of guppy? If those fishes die in your tank, means confirm got problem..

CC should put on top of the biohome ?which i always do so. or CC should put at the pump compartment?? My 2 tier of 5ft tank both using the same media like that.It was done by a tankmaker a few years bk so should be ok ? |

Uploaded with ImageShack.us infact my system the biohome and CR and pump compartment always fill the most is abt 60-70% water as guided by the ppl which make my tank. But every few days i have to top up water to enable the pump to have enough water to pump up.Therefore do u guys always top up water also put anti chlorine?? I did put but hor i find it very "Siong" Thats y i thought of a way,i have attatch a fountain setup photo, inside the fountain no fish no plants.ONLy just water,i was thinking is it ok to use the water there to top up my fish tank so i dun have to top up fresh tap water and put anti chlorine.. cos last time ppl use age tap water to remove chlorine.Do u think k work? And last question is CR k reuse even after 5 years?cos i dunno i go throw away. How abt CC?k use how long? |
