Default Questions on Newly Setup Shrimp Tank

Just bought a 30cm by 19cm by 21cm tank (with cover) to keep shrimps in the office. Also bought soil (1 kg) for shrimp, minerals and vitamins, Internal filter, LED light. I have some questions to ask:

1. Is the soil enough?
2. Is one week enough to cycle the tank (I'll be adding aged water
from my reservoir of water)?
3. Is anti chlorine from Prime, API or AST suitable for shrimp tank?
4. Office temp is around 20-22°C, and weekend maybe up to 28-
30°C. Will there be issues? Do I need cooling fan or chiller?
5. If I need a chiller, is there a small one suitable for 1 ft tank?
Pricing range?
5. I have marine pure sphere and Azoo 4 in 1 filter media. As the
internal filter I bought could not put them in, can I put the sphere
and Azoo media directly inside the tank?
6. Is moss enough for the tank setup? Do I need driftwood or any
other types of plants?
7. Do I still need air pump?
8. What kind of shrimp should I purchase as "test shrimp"? Are 2
shrimps sufficient as "test shrimps" for a newly setup tank?
9. Can mix different types of shrimp in a tank?
10. What is the ideal number of shrimps in 1st tank?

Thanks and appreciate bros here for answering my enquiries!

Some of your questions are already in the FAQ section at the top of this subforum.

2. Is one week enough to cycle the tank (I'll be adding aged water
from my reservoir of water)?
Cycling is not about aged water. Aging only removes Chlorine. Cycling is to cultivate BB, which hobbyist would know.

3. Is anti chlorine from Prime, API or AST suitable for shrimp tank?
Prime is one proven brand so far.

6. Is moss enough for the tank setup? Do I need driftwood or any
other types of plants?
Whatever moss you like.

7. Do I still need air pump?
Mostly with rain bar (returning water into tank), most shrimp tanks are fine without aeration. I don't have air pump for mine.

8. What kind of shrimp should I purchase as "test shrimp"? Are 2
shrimps sufficient as "test shrimps" for a newly setup tank?
I do not quite agree with test shrimp. So long as your tank is properly setup and cycled, it should be ok. Do not over introduce shrimps at one go. The bioload may surge.

bro globalcookie has already answered most of your questions

i have some tips to add on from my own experience, you should treat any driftwood using hot water before putting it into the tank and if u are planning to add any please do so before there are any shrimps as many a times driftwood leeches the water and causes PH fluctuations which some shrimps are unable to stand, especially with such a small 1 ft volume tank. best is add in ur moss and treated DW, let it cycle and constantly measure ur parameters before adding shrimp in, if u do not want to get a chiller just get a small clip on fan (helps +- 1~2 Deg from Room temp) unless u wish to go for higher grade shrimps which require a specific temp range. buy those BB tank starter to help kick start your cycling process it does wonders (please follow dosage carefully) yes u can mix different shrimp, and yes please have an air pump running 24/7 shrimp are a very delicate and fragile creature.

Good luck!
