Default pest snail in hypan habitat

as above,my newly setup zebra l46 tank recently hv a lots of pest snail.
anyone experience this problem and share how you get rid of them.

i came across yoyo loach or assasin snail is a good recommendation,however will either of them also harm the hypan eggs or young fries

inputs welcome.tks in advance

i heard of the L046 being snail eaters.. you can leave the snails inside and see what happens..

you are making me very very happy now definitely
i hope is true but.....the snail population seem growing fast.but at least i see my zebra not fearful of the snail at all.

If the rate of snail growth is faster the the rate of them missing, that might means zebra is not that an effective snail eater. =x

I'll suggest temporary introducing snail eater into the tank.

i hv observed that my male zebras(those confirm occupy particular caves)actually use their mouth to take out snail that accidentally move inside their caves.very funny sight,at first i thought the zebra are eating the snail,but is not true,they simply remove the snail from their nest that all

will be looking for assasin snail soon,though not urgent

my zebra pull the snail out of their home.. soon you will see white empty shells around...

just to update,i added about 5 pieces of assassin snail about two wks ago,now seem the snail population hv reduce.however i did not see killing action at all. hopefully they are doing their job quietly

go get a few mini puffer fish. After the snail is clear you can either catch them out or give to me

PUFFER FISH!

they will settle your problem. i doubt they will nip your pleco fins since plecos don't really move much.. maybe they will think it's wood
