Thanks bros, glad you like them as well.

My 5ft x 2ft x 2ft (12mm thickness) cabinet tank has finally arrived. Just clean up with some cleaning liquid and look cloudy. Stay tune for the scaping, hopefully can do a journal if time permits. It will be a low cost, low maintenance planted tank.

Was busy for last few weeks with some adhoc aqua-scaping and maintenance projects for Christmas and New year.

Protect the base of the tank with some left over eggcrates (white and black) from other project and my first attempt of the scape, create 3 small islands using black lava rocks. Will be filling up center of the island with GEX or ADA substrate soil.

Foreground will be filled with white or orange ANS sand.

Once filled up, eggcrates will not be visible.

Thks bro.

I'm not really satisfied with the scape from the 1st attempt.

My second attempt . Have put in some hardscape but will be rescaped later on with more plants. Have already filled the tank with water since last weekend and will take few days to be cycled.

Stay tuned.

I used "CIF" lemon to remove any "impurities".

Do note to wash the tank thoroughly and add in 2 or 3 commando fishes/shrimps after cycling the tank.

I added in the livestock only on the 3rd week after cycling the tank.
I changed the filter wool too just in case.

5FT tank planted tank is about 70% ready. Will post it soon.

Some updates. Left side of the tank (show only about about 2 feet) while I need to rework on the right side to alleviate the height of the driftwood to create a landscape structure.

Plants are still growing.

Bro...any updates?

Can share your water change frequency, and what supplement you dose?
Thanks.

Nutx, thank you for following my post. Left side driftwoods with mini fissiden are more dense and compact as compare to few months ago.
Right side of the tank was ready 2 months back but one bro came and took two pieces of the large wood with mini fissiden for his scape. Thus, it will take another 2 to 3 months for my newly purchased driftwoods to grow with fissiden again. Should have taken a photo shot first in the first place.

Water change frequency - Nil. Only filled up any evaporated water from the tank on weekly basis.

Supplement/Ferts - NIL

C02 - Nil

Lights - 7 hours/day. 4pm to 11pm daily.

Mini fissiden are hardy and low maintenance plants.

Will post updates once it is more ready.
