Yah lor... best is be main contractor of government pojects. After obtaining the project, sub to sub con to do the work. Main con only provide updates and claim money from the government, while sub con do all the shits. Get paid miserable while the main con do little and pay many. This case looks like main con earn earn $900k as the sub con claim only $2.4mil out of the $3.3mil.

Sometimes government set the criteria so high that only few big companies can tender. However smaller companies are the ones doing the work after awarded to big companies.

But payment made in full when project not completed.

Moreover, the canada parent company that provide the technology and tender the project can sell off their company to others and later open one more new company to continue the project.

At the same time claim that the $3.3m is received by the company that they sold off ... so this $3.3m not their responsibility. Like that also can ...

If u like that say, I feel that something is really not right. Usually government agencies will not pay the full sum of contract till project is completed. Lapse is with the person who approved the claims without due care to check. And the main con has the responsibilities to pay the sub con for works done, even if they close the company.

As an outsider, we only can comment and see what is being done as there is nothing we could do.

I read and read, there are many questions to be answered. Some have been raised by ppl here.

Perhaps many lapses took place as someone pointed out but who is accountable? Right from the tender period or during the progress claims?

Or perhaps we will nvr find out the answers at all and SG ppl have very poor memories. All these issues that had surfaced will be forgotten gradually.
