Filter for betta fries

Hi i am thinking of getting a filter for my 5 gallon tank of 2 weeks old betta fries (gonna change to a 10 gallon tank soon) anyone knows of any filter that would be good??

Hmmm.. To be frank i do breed alot of betta to achieve my objective. So far the four tank of spawn i have, do not have filter. Haha. But i make it a must to WC every three days.

To answer your question, not advisable to move your betta till it much stable, perhaps 5-6weeks old around two cm.

If recommend i will use sponge filter (Donut look alike) with the inlet to air pump.

i would recommend the sponge filter as shown below.

Sponge filters are probably the best choice for fry tanks due to their bio efficiency, lack of turbidity, and low risk of fin damage.

start with slow aeration,probably around 2-3 bubbles per second (estimate),because if you were to start with strong aeration,the fries will have a hard time hunting for food because of the strong current.

agree with bro taufiq, sponge filters are the best if u really want to have filter to aid in the water management...

i recommend only using filter during 3rd week when they eat worms, its when the bioload is high too ahnyway

i add sponge filter once they hit tubi eating stage. around 3 weeks.. haha.. good and cheap

The water current may be too strong for them.
1 month old should be good
