My motoro is already 7-8 inches in diameter, but his claspers are still undeveloped, tiny like a pair of small toothpicks.

The skill to tell which ray can comm takes about the same amount of time to learn as telling which aro can comm.

Rays get more aggressive as they grow older. Rays that are WC, or kept alone are often worst. Certain breeds are more aggressive too. There is no way to really tell 100%.

You will need 3 tanks soon. 1 main tank, 1 tank to rest females after a batch or 2, 1 tank to grow pups out.

Keep that in mind.

I got a spare 3 footer tank for pup keeping. The girl maybe I can use the bigger float basket in the main tank.

They can escape and are super strong. My 13 inch ray can move my 1/2 log shape petrified wood. With water current from 1 swoop, the 7kg smooth rock will move 3 inches.

I would suggest a separate tank. Ray after birth will drive the rays crazy too. Maybe the pups can be kept in a basket in the tank, but you must secure it properly, and it maybe unsightly.
