Emergency!! Ich - Will Yellow Powder Cure?
I am 90% sure that my aros have gotten ich!!!
I have some yellow powder medicine, premeasured. Should I put in my tank? Some notes: 55 gallon, water change today, added salt, ich appeared tonight, black aro stopped eating tonight, silver aro starting getting itchy one hour ago. Both aros are babies. Black is breathing heavily, gulping water, and swimming at top. All symptoms started within the last 5 hours! Do I need a second heater? My temp currently at 29 C. Turned heater up to 32 C, but it will probably only get to 30 C. My other black aro died last week... perhaps something left in water infected my fish? How many times should I have changed water after death? Please help me save my fish!! |

bro,
pls define itch?scrubing against the tank or something else?If is scrubong against the tank,I believe there is too much BBs in the tank or maybe parasite acttack.Do Wc and add salt depending on your tank size. Itcheness is common no need use yellow powder or any medications. |

He dives to the bottom and slides against the rocks, but mostly it is against the tank.
What are BBs? Could the parasite attack be what is hurting my black and making him not eat? What can I do to help him stay alive? The black is the one I am most worried about, as he appears to be in a critical state. |

Things feel pretty hopeless... He seems to go down the same road as Juliet.
Could someone please reassure me that Romeo can get better from the state he is in |

Is your fish in hospital tank? If It is isolated then It should be O.K continue your water change and stop feeding.

OMG! Please help - he is worse. He appeared to be swimming more this morning... then he just started swimming vertically now.
Don't feed? He is a baby, how long can he go without feeding? I will clean out my filter right now. He is not in a hospital tank... he has a divider between him and the other fish to protect him while he is weak. Should I put him in a hospital tank? I do not currently have one setup, but it is day now and I can go buy anything I need. Please help me shop - What all should I buy? Should I go buy another tank to put my sick fish in? Or should I move all other fish to another tank and leave Romeo in his own tank? Or should I move the oscar out of the 120 gallon into a smaller tank and move Romeo into a fully cycled tank. |
