What kind of Filter to use for shrimp tank
Hi all, currently I have a boyu tank which my friend gave it to me. It's about 1.5 feet in length. As boyu tank have a fix cover on top of it, I don't think I can get a hanging filter for my tank.
I also understand it's not recommended to get a submerge filter(becos of the holes at the bottom?) for shrimp tank too. Do correct me me if I'm wrong. So just wondering what kind of filter should I get? I know GreenChapter have this POWER HOUSE Small Filter Hard/Soft Type. That's the only filter I think it's more suitable for my tank. Any recommendation? Thanks alot! |

Filter
Does power house filter sits inside the tank? If so it will occupy some space plus you have a small tank which your occupants will have little space.
External filters with only inlet and outlet but then you need a space for it. |

Yea powerhouse sit inside tank.. but im not sure whether it is operate on it's own or need to connect to a canister hahaha.. For canister no idea which model to get for a 1.5 feet tank. And hopefully it's not that big, I'm only allowed to have a small corner area.
Larry Bro recommend eheim 2213? Suitable for 1.5feet tank? |

Hey bro,
the 2213 (classic) is a pretty good filter for 1.5feet tanks. The filter is pretty simple though, but sufficient for your needs. Im running my shrimp tanks with the Eheim 2224, a bit more expensive but worth the money for me. In the end its up to you how much you want to spent on the filter. Professional II & III are way more expensive and in my opinion way overpriced. If you want to be on the safe side get a Eheim Classic or Professional I and a decent heater. |

yeah suitable. tried and tested. use the shutoff valve to reduce the flow. or you can also use a lily pipe outflow to further reduce the flow.

I see. What about jebo 829? The price is not that ex as compare to 2213. If not I guess I will look for a 2nd hand 2213.
