Any good hangon filters to recommend?
Does anybody has any good hang on filters to recommend?
Initially i tot of getting the eheim liberty... until i saw this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uviW6YDnlo Is it really that loud? Because their external cannister is so silent! I was hoping the same for the hangons. I really need it to be silent and low in power consumption. Thanks! |

Hagen AquaClear Series. A bit pricey, but it's got quite a good amount of space for medias.

Why not try putting small canisters? Like eden or maybe eheim classic?

Agree with Bro Boxedfish. Infact any mechanical device with movable parts will exhibit same condition if not properly secured.

I think how good a filter is depends more on what or how you put media inside. I have no mechanical problems with the 'cheaper' HOFs from Dymax or Dolphin.I just replaced the original carbon filters with wool and cr. Serving well for many years. I am more concerned with the weight acting on the glass.
I like the water trickling sound, its very therapeutic. |
