Other considerations for colonial types within a 2 feet are lelupi and bichardis, Altos.sumbu, juliechromis family. But be prepared to change the scape to reduce the aggression from time to time.

For a start, stick with shellies. They are interesting little buggers that can keep you entertained with their constant digging, burrowing and "interior desgining". They will also swim to your face or eye level with puppy eyes and start begging for food. Oh and they do occasionally bite fingers.

Fronts and Alto Tank: 4ft x 1.5 x 1.5 (Burundi, Moba, M.Blue and Comps)
Trophs Tank: 4ft x 1.5 x 1.5 ( Trophs Canary Cheek, Ikola, Bemba, moliro, duboisi and Tretos)
African Malawi Mixed Tank: 3ft x 1.5 x 1.5 (Assorted African Cichlids Zebra Tilapia, Red Jewel and Assorted Malawi Cichlids Bubblebee, Peacock etc)

Hahaha not as poisonous as here. When the grandmasters and master breeders start show casing their collections ..... No antidote can cure.

i can't bear to part with my dear chapalang kelahs
Here's my bare 2ft basic "setup"...reusing many things lying around, from the soil/gravel to the filter
if i don't start putting in main fishies hope marimo grow and take up all space

JZX (Ang Mo kio) & NKS (Kovan) are the current 2 leading lfs for some of the above fishes (tanganyikans). A 2.5ft tank would be ideal for a colony or 2 of them imo.

I just started with 4 pieces of meleagris cichlid in 2FT by 18 Inch tank. so far so good. Enjoy watching them destroy the land scape i took pains to set up lol.

Haha. Yeah. They messed up my scape too. all the sand piled up with the shells. You got the final 4 pc from Jzx?
