Hi to everyone, if we are using 4ft. OHF how many stackable trays can we put up? Thanks in advance for advise.

No limit bro, as long as the base tray can support. You can search some DIY method of some bros here on how to support multi layer ohf with heavy media.

it depends on the bracing of your tank, I put 9 trays for mine of 10mm and full bracing.

Have to depend on your bracing of the tank like euro bracing or not, middle bracing of the tank is the most important due to the distribution of the weight of the OHF on your tank, if you do not have a middle bracing to support the weight of the ohf and plainly depends on the base tray, sooner or later it will crack and ... topple.

Must make sure the bracing and base tray can support the weight of the media and trays inside.

Reinforcement on the base plate can be in the form of 3-4mm thick aluminium L bar or so called angle, or 1 inch thick aluminium hollow section. To construct a frame whereby the base plate sit on top of it.
Position the alu parts on the side of the glass panel instead of the bracing. |
