For Taiwan, nvr been before so if we are going, it will be mainly because of food although I do have friends telling me there are other fun places to enjoy.
Maybe likewise, depending on which season that one will be going to Taiwan.
other than that, same purpose or like similar to heading Penang and Bangkok for food, but in the latter can at least go for shopping too.

When it actually snowing in the early morning in Myeondong, my wife and I with our daughter thought that its some kind of soap bubble. U know like Tanglin Mall arti snow，just as sua ku and then realised that omg its really snowing!

And once winter, we understand that buying cheap winter clothing in Singapore will ground us in hotel. One really need good winter clothing, light and keep warm type.

If going Seoul, head down to Namdaemun Mkt ... get your long johns there even better. It's made for their type of weather, quality good and last pretty long.
