A pair of goals in quick succession give us a two-goal lead at the break...

We’ve been here before, of course. Liverpool ahead and worthy of their lead, with the opponents appearing demoralised and out of sorts.
Except football isn’t quite so straightforward.
There will always be comebacks and strange, unexpected events. But the less of those you suffer, the more likely you are of achieving something.
Klopp knows the next 15 minutes will be crucial for his team.

Brighton pull one back from a penalty - what a crazy game.

That’s a poor decision from Graham Scott. I think he gave the penalty for a shove by Henderson but it was incredibly soft.
A glimmer of hope for Brighton, just after Firmino had made it 3-0.
There were just 14 seconds between Mignolet making a fine save to deny Murray and Firmino finishing off a blistering counter.

Only eight minutes to go and Brighton continue to press, although Liverpool are doing well to keep them as far away from goal as possible.
It’s been more of a digging in exercise since their third. Can they see it out?

That’s goal saving block from Alexander-Arnold. Izquierdo was about to make it 3-2. Brilliant defending from the youngster.
