Default Questions about bichir?

Today at clementi I bought a sb albino bichir and now is in my growing tank just for it so the moment i put it in it suddenly keeps trying to jump should i be alarmed about it? Using water from my main tank along with water in the bag so parameters are fine.

If a fish keeps trying to jump out, shows its in a panic (being spooked?) or the water parameter is not suitable for it. Hope its doing well in your tank now.

Could be just due to new environment...let it settle down first...

I have 5 bichirs ....
Several of them very timid. If I move as much as lifting the tank over, it will dart around like mad and that would trigger another chain reaction of other tank mates dashing around ....!
One of my pb in another tank also like that.
Its probably their character.
Been with me for almost 4 years. Never change.
Quite irritating.
