Default Newbie question. (about glass tank covers)

I just bought a tank. Could i know what else i can cover the top other than the glass? glass is more expensive right ?

What fish are u keeping?
Glass is good, cheaper and 'heavy'
If u want something else, and willing to spend, u can consider doing a custom hood. You can put in thos roller shutter. Quite cool. But have to consider the lighting. Harder to change after that

Can use plastic "egg crate" but it's light, still have to weigh it down

Is keeping aros or more expensive fish, cost of those fish will outweigh the cost of glass...

Egg crate are sharp...will cut the aro when they jump.

U can try using pvc nets and pipes to make your own cover.
If need weight, juz fill the pipes with sand or stones

Bro, it is advisable having glass for the covers. Aro are very strong fish, big or small alike
