What are your reasons for voting ur preferred party ? - Page 3

Just getting sick and tired of all their empty promises! What a shame really.

I voted for opp because:

1) Incumbent has gotten too arrogant over the years.

2) Aljunied GRC going over to WP revealed AIM. I'm not sure if there are and how many more such "surprises" are hidden.

3) People who engage in such smear campaigns obviously have some issues.

4) Blatant double standards

5) WP makes PAP work harder and better. Despite what they say and claim, 2011 election forced them to change. My concern now is with the strong mandate, they will start to go back on those changes.

6) Lastly, I voted WP because I'm voting for the future generation. My wife and I are perfectly comfortable now. We could have voted for PAP and probably not be too affected. We got our flat and are sort of financially secure. However, I do believe that if we head down the path that PAP is leading us and unchecked, it will affect the larger nation as a whole.

On a semi unrelated note, I noticed that there is a sombre feeling in the air after the election results. Like a period of mourning. Sure PAP might have won a large %, but I can't help feeling that people aren't really happy with the results. Just my 2 cents.

Previously, Yeo Guat Kwang was MP in my ward and he did a pretty good job. My estate is clean and facilities are ample. Mum had a chance to have lunch with him and felt that he was sincere and genuine.

Aiyah anyway I didn't vote for either. All I want is credible opposition so that there are checks in place but I think this dream will be very hard to fulfil.

I voted WP bcoz...

1. i don't trusted one party one system can work well.
2. i want WP to fight for our benefit if the policies are not benefited us.
