Aiyo. Very sayang. Next time when you are ready to keep fishes, add in test fish like feeders to test water 1st.

if fish die in 1 day, I suspect there are some chemicals, didn't add anti-chlorine or ph crash..unlikely a disease will wipe out fish on day one.

to be safe, after u done disinfecting, add salt 0.5%, bicarbonate of soda 1 teaspoon for 2 feet tank and let it run without any goldfish for 3 days...while u go hunting for GF..

Then u must a proper quarantine procedure:

put the fish in a pail or basin and introduce the tank water a little at a time...then scoop some water out of the pail and replenish with the tank water...do this till u have replaced all the water in the pail...then u can scoop up the fish into the main tank..

for the first 2 days , just observe the fishes for signs of diseases(pls post here if fish is not well) and treat accordingly...do not feed until the 3rd day..only start light feeding if the fishes are active and free from diseases...usually, the new fishes need to acclimatize to your water and way of keeping, there are stressed due to the change of environment, hence are very prone to diseases like gill flukes, etc

on the next water change, u can reduce the salt concentration....if fish are well u can reduce till no more salt...just don't add lor...
