any rough formula to convert watt to lumen or its 2 diff thing altogether?

they are different things, I am not a light expert so i cannot really explain this stuff. However, with the improvements on lamps and bulbs, energy savings bulbs could effectively emit the same lumen with less wattage, that's why i mentioned wattage could be deceiving when you enter the world of energy savings and "green" bulbs, although less wattage generally means less lumens also. Lower color temp, like 4000K could also emit less lumens then a 6500K bulb of the same wattage.

most bulbs dont tell you the lumens because for everyday household use, lumens don't really mean anything, for us we only need it to be "bright or not bright"

however, if you get philips or osram bulbs, you could get the info on the packaging or website.

Having said all this, most of us do well with the good old wattage per gallon guideline.

Bro, fomr the label, it look like is from Ikea?

Anyway, make sure yours is a daylight, it give a white light while those warm daylight give a more orangy light..

Since it is daylight and then as long as it have enough wattage, it will be ok..

For the light, you can easily get it from electrical shop or NTUC when it is having offer. Think it is cheaper than Ikea..
