Default pH shock?

hi guys, check with u something. i got a big pack of feeders from c328 just now. the auntie was nice to help me change the water. back home, i pour them into a pail and do some WC with anti chlorine solution. den i just pour them into my main tank. they were pretty active. that was around 5pm. i just saw that almost half are dead and 1/2 of the remaining are half dead with white mould/fungus on them. isit due to pH shock?

The symptoms are similar to a pH shock. However your existing fishes will looks fine as all fishes will slowly adapt to their environment . No matter what happen, please do not do large WC to your main tank. Do measure your ph now.

Btw, care to share how is your bioload and your tank size and filtration? A photo to show your tank would be great.

I am suspecting the pH might be too low and your tank might have rather high DOC. Knowing your water parameters now esp for your pH would help us to diagnose better. Tiger puking out the feeder fishes is a not a good sign and contributes more DOC into your water. I recall my experience when my 9" ST puke and eventually pass away. Later I found out my pH was way too low. Drastic WC kill my ST

I would suggest:
1. Provide more aeration to your main tank now.
2. WC just 10%, to minimise huge changes to your tank water parameters.

Please check your tank pH and NO3 level. Do not change water if pH is on the low side. Add sodium bicarbonate to slowly bring up to pH 7.
