Hi all
2 actions by me caused this sudden change... 1) I introduce OF mother of nature... 2) I used melafix for about 3 days.... Anyone has any experiences that these 2 had effect on ph.... Thanks |

bro, i had the same problem with my rays earlier in the year and my ph was at about 5 too. this is what i did (hoping that it helps you) i changed about a good 30% of the water checked my ammonia which apparently was fine. so i introduced coral chips to balance the ph. after about 3 days they were eating fine and healthy.
hope this helps |

i had this problem around last month? pH spiked to 5 suddenly.
Didn't dare to do a water change as i did not have readily aged water to use and didn't want the ray to suffer from chlorine burns so what i did was add some coral chip to let the pH buffer slowly meanwhile i overload the airbubbles in the tank hoping it would help. And apparently it worked! what i think was the tank was going into some mini cycle that caused the pH to spike. |
