Default super worms for aro

I heard that should not feed super worms because they can't digest the shells and will kill the around it is true?

Above 10 inch can feed. But also cannot feed too much as SW is fatty. Best is to train aro to eat a variety of foods. Pallets , mp, sw, feeders and crickets are the usual foods fed.

My 3 aros are all on superworms as their main diet and mp as treats. They have no issues with it. But I did heard ppl saying that some aro will develop protruding anal when feeding on a superworms diet. Perhaps I'm lucky that mine doesn't have that problem.

I've been feeding my fishes SW and solely SW most importantly make sure they bare fresh and active. If you don't overfeed shouldn't be an issue.

I have gone through a bad experience with feeding SW. My Xb could not digest the SW and died as a result. Post mortem revealed that there were lots of SW exoskeleton including the head parts blocked the stomach and intestines. I gues not all aros are prone to this but having lost the aro was really sad and that's why I don't feed SW anymore.
