Default Help: Returning to Singapore- where to buy cichlids?

Hi guys,

I am returning to Singapore to work (finally!) and was wondering where to buy cichlids- the Clementi 24hr shop occasionally has apistos in stock, but would prefer to buy from specialist shop.

I've bred apistos, calvus and even barbs before and I think I'd like to return to apistos and calvus but hope can afford the large tanks!

Welcome home, bro.

You can drop by Cichlids Foever to get your cichlids.

For large tanks shouldn't be a problem. Some bros here are selling away their stuffs every now & then. You'll be lucky enough to find some good bargains in the buy/sell section.

You can try Biotope at Bt Merah for apistos. Alot of people also go to Hongkong to buy them.

Thanks guys!

Is it easy to bring fish back into singapore from overseas?

And would you have any tips re: water quality in singapore? I remember it used to be ph7.5 medium hard with chlorine but now with Jamban Juice has that changed?

Same, should be in that range. Personally I would not bring fish back from overseas in an airplane...just too many restrictions. Too many "unknowns".
Unless there is an "exceptional" specimen that die die must have.....then it is a different story!
