The Velib system in Paris can be used as a model.
When I was there, many folks rented the bikes and I don’t see the bikes being treated badly or parked indiscriminately.
Culture yes but I suspect the €150 deposit charged to the credit card plays a large part

With the new regulation of fix area to park bikes, we may see a mountain of bikes stack upwards like what happened in Shenzhen.
Now we have to see how they solve this stacking problem.

Bicycle parking not easy to resolve unless gov itself designated some public parking space for bicycle on the road similar to car or motorbike or else the errands parking is not easy to solve.

In every hdb block and condo also should designated area for those bicycle parking also.

Proper parking slot will help reduce errand parking of bicycle.

Taiwan public rental bicycle has proper docks. Dont understand why they didnt adopt the same system. And why do we need so many comapnies offering the same thing??

Do the companies even earn anything?
