Of cos you need to pay premium price for the right player! Klopp has done exactly that by aquiring the right player for the team
No need bother la. Just happy we could keep our best players and add quality every window.
If like previous times where we had to sell to buy, it’ll be going round in circles all the time.

Biggest transfer window in LFC history? Could be.
Shaqiri is more of a winger whereas Fekir is a playmaker.

So Fekir deal might happen as for Dybala LFC has never been interested

Default Klopp's update on Oxlade-Chamberlain's expected lay-off

Jürgen Klopp has revealed the expected length of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's injury lay-off and detailed the agreed approach taken to his rehabilitation by the club, player and manager.

The Liverpool midfielder is likely to miss the vast majority of the 2018-19 season and competitive game time before the end of the campaign would be a bonus.

Oxlade-Chamberlain sustained multiple ligament damage when attempting a tackle during the first half of the Champions League tie with AS Roma at Anfield in April.

The 24-year-old underwent surgery eight days after suffering the injury – his only operation – which was a complete success.

The estimated length of his lay-off was not revealed at the time at the request of Oxlade-Chamberlain, who did not want the news to distract from the Reds’ ongoing Champions League run and the excitement surrounding it.

His rehabilitation remains in line with the timeframe outlined following his surgery.

“It feels like now is an appropriate time to tell people that for Ox this coming season will be about focusing on recovery and rehab,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com.

“We have known this from pretty much the day after he got the injury and after the successful surgery, we were sure of it. I hope everyone treats this information responsibly. There has been no change, no setback – it’s exactly on the schedule we expected and planned for. The new information is that we’re now giving more detail publicly.

“It is typical of Ox that he didn’t want the news to overshadow the end of the season and, to be quite honest, we thought we could wait and tell people at an appropriate time.

“His surgery – which he had on the day of our second leg in Roma – has been completely successful and his recovery has started superbly well.

“But the truth of the matter is that we are preparing this season knowing he will not be with us on the pitch for competitive matches for the majority of it. If we do see him back this season it will be a bonus.”

The decision to provide further detail on Oxlade-Chamberlain’s recovery at this time was made with a view to alleviating any unrealistic pressure on a return date for the No.21.

Klopp, the club and the player himself are in total agreement on ensuring his rehabilitation is right rather than rushed, with the future firmly in mind.

“It is so important – because of how valuable and important he is to what we are looking to do here in the coming seasons – that the focus is on doing this right and not rushed. Ox is completely on board with this approach,” added the manager.

“He is such an outstandingly good person and someone who even when not playing is integral to the heartbeat of Melwood.

“I cannot wait to have him back with us for matches, but we will wait for him and we will show the patience that is required to make sure he comes back ready to continue where he left off: as one of the most outstanding performers in European football in that moment.”

Default LFC team news latest for Blackburn friendly

Jürgen Klopp will again name two different teams for each half of tonight's pre-season friendly with Blackburn Rovers.

The game, which you can watch live on LFCTV and LFCTV GO, is the fourth and final local fixture before Liverpool depart for their tour of the United States on Saturday morning.

Georginio Wijnaldum will not be risked due to a minor muscle strain and Danny Ings will again focus on building up his fitness after a minor ankle injury.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm BST.

The 'one or two more players' Liverpool need to challenge for the Premier League title revealed

Liverpool still need 'one or two more players' in order to become Premier League title contenders.

The Reds are on the verge of sealing a £66.8million deal for Roma goalkeeper Alisson, which will further strengthen their backline.

Having already brought Virgil van Dijk to Anfield in January in a world record £75million move, Jurgen Klopp is on the brink of breaking another record and almost doubling the previous highest fee paid for a goalkeeper.

Despite that, former Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy has detailed how a centre back and left back are still required to complete the squad.

When asked how Klopp can strengthen further ahead of the new campaign, the Welshman said: “Centre-back.

“They’ve got a defensive midfielder coming in.

"They just need defensively, like we’ve said for Liverpool, centre-back, goalkeeper, left-back area.

“I think Robertson’s brilliant, he’s been a real gem. But I also would like to see a little bit of cover there."

Bellamy, who was speaking at the McDonald's & FAW Community Football Day in Cardiff, is well-versed in the attacking demands at Anfield.

But after watching Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane wreck havoc last season, Bellamy believes it can leave the Reds open to being hit on the counter attack.

Yet he thinks further defensive reinforcements will have them on the cusp of a title challenge.

"They’re so attacking and they’re so good with the press that they’re vulnerable to the counter-attack," he added to the Daily Star.

“And I like it when they sit deep and they protect the back four because they’re brilliant on the counter-attack themselves.

“Just one or two more players. I’m not saying they’re going to go and win the league off the back of that but they won’t be far away.”

Alisson is set to be the Reds' last major signing of the window with interest in Lyon's Nabil Fekir unlikely to be revived following the collapse of his £53million move to Anfield on medical grounds last month.

Default Alisson's message to fans ahead of world record Liverpool transfer

Alisson sent a message to Roma and Liverpool fans before he boarded the plane to the UK to undergo a medical.

The Brazil number one spoke out before making his way to Merseyside, after agreeing personal terms on a five-year contract.

The Reds submitted a £66.8million bid for the highly-rated Roma shot-stopper, which would make him the most expensive goalkeeper in world football history.

Alisson left Ciampino Airport on Wednesday - the same day Liverpool's bid was accepted by the Italian club.

Before the 25-year-old departed he was met by members of the press and told ForzaRoma: "I want to say thanks to Roma fans. Now it's time for a new adventure."

The keeper cut short his holiday in Sardinia to complete the medical formalities before he is set to become the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.

An official announcement is expected to come either today or tomorrow.

Alisson is unlikely to be part of Jurgen Klopp 's squad for the pre-season tour of America as he's given time off following his exertions at the World Cup.

However, he should link up with his new team-mates for the four-day training camp in France ahead of the friendly against Napoli in Dublin on August 4.

Liverpool's initial bid of £62million was rejected by the Serie A outfit but sporting director Michael Edwards moved quickly to reach an agreement.

Including add-ons, the deal is understood to be worth 75million Euros (£66.8million). That shatters the previous highest transfer fee involving a goalkeeper – the £34.7million that Manchester City paid Benfica for Ederson in 2017.

The Reds have been wary of Chelsea's interest potentially scuppering the transfer but it would now take a dramatic late twist for Klopp to be denied his top keeper target.

Alisson, who was blown away by the Anfield atmosphere when he played for Roma in the Champions League semi-final last season, is excited about the opportunity to play for Klopp. He has also received a ringing endorsement about life at Liverpool from Brazil team-mate Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool have been in the market for a new No 1 since the midway point of last season. Loris Karius' disastrous performance in the Champions League final only strengthened their resolve to bolster that area of the squad with proven quality.

The Reds initially feared they would miss out on Alisson with Real Madrid seemingly favourites to sign him but the landscape has changed in recent weeks with the Roma No 1 increasingly keen on the prospect of moving to Anfield.

Tell a lie...

Just as soon as it has been reported, it is outdated - such is the way in online journalism.

There will be NO Danny Ward at Ewood Park tonight. He could be heading for the Anfield exit door.

Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Leicester over a possible deal for the Wales international.

Danny Ward set to miss #LFC game with Blackburn tonight - he had been down to start it.

Club in talks with Leicester over a possible transfer. Roma looking at Kasper Schmeichel as Alisson replacement. Goalkeeping merry-go-round!

Monchi - Alisson will be a Liverpool player soon

Roma’s sporting director has confirmed the worst-kep secret in football.

Monchi, the transfer talent-spotter who forged his famous reputation at Sevilla, has now confirmed that he expects Alisson to leave Roma for Anfield.

He is quoted as saying:

"Alisson-Liverpool deal will be official soon. They made a world-record bid for a goalkeeper and we decided to sell Alisson.”

It’s surely only a matter of time now until we see the Melwood Lean from Alisson.
