Juv XB...strange behaviour

Juv XB abt 6" , had it for about 6 wks kind of settle down & eating very well MW and Sml BF. Tank 422 partitioned 1/2 since fish is very small still, OHF filter, water check ph 7.5, nitrate level ok.

Just a 2-3 days ago after BF feed start to behaviour strangely, got very jumpy and jump a few times against the side of the tank, and next day he whack his tank mate a small FF ...now sometime swim a bit erratic an then hid below the tank amoung the drift wood. When on the wave maker comes out swim about.

Need advice:
> did he eat a bad BF
> Water parameter bad or going bad
> the little fellow gonna kena sick or something like that
> eating has almost stop...only 1 or 2 MW / BF a day
> So far XB body Ok, tail a bit splitting but strangely getting more gold
than usual, maybe color coming out so become weird.
> Should I leave the wavemaker on all the time

What to do:
So far did nothing except to drop in some salt....appreciate any comments, suggestion and diagnosis.

Check water parameters....try add in some blackwater to calm your aro before any serious injury....what filtration r u using for your tank...and when was your last wc...

Off the wavemaker and observe.

THks..seems some improvement with Salt & Ketapang , now swimming more regularly and less erratic, but still not usual self , not eating and tail fin was split probably due to all the hectic swimming & jumping of a few days ago. Probably a bad case of bad food......
