How long have you had your goldfish?
Under normal circumstances, the goldfish that we keep rarely make it over 6 months. I'm curious to find out from fellow hobbyists how long have you had your goldfish and what kind? Pics would be great. Thanks.

they should live more than 6 months under normal circumstances easily provided the water is in good range and not less. Goldfish life span is few years not few months.

If we do a poll, I'd think >50% won't make it over 6 months.
Most hobbyists are not familiar with good water management. If all our goldfish can live over 3 years. All the LFS will go out of business. |

Hmmm....
My gf was supposed to be feeder to my other fishes. Decided to keep it bcos of its unique all white colour. Now after 2 yrs at abt 5", happily living all by itself in a small 1 x 1 ft tank. |

I have two pieces that's been with me for close to 2 years.
the rest (12) are less than a month. |

Perhaps I should also ask what kind of goldfish.
Some are hardier than others. For example, feeders... |
