I don't know bro. Never been to Amazon or has any experience in wild with Rays to observe their eating behavior .

One of my female ray didn't eat for close to 3 months or more.
black ray but color faded til greyish...
already given up hope after trying everything (medication, daily water change etc)
then one day passed out white curly/stringy faces, started eating again.
