Default Fish suggestion

Guys, been slowly preparing my tank. maybe in a weeks time gonna put fishes in already.

was wondering if anyone can give any suggestions.

Tank size : width 40cm x 19cm deep x 24cm high with black oyama background.
volume : got bout 3cm of black gravel so would be around 16.5L of water inside.
Lighting : LED white & blue.
Deco : 1 piece bogwood
filter : eheim pickup 2008 (think the filter is over rated for the tank)

so basically my tank is pretty black. I have in mind a knifefish (mo dao) to be in already as I am a sucker for this fish since last time. SAE just for algae management. I would get a few shrimps but my water is unusually warm for some reasons although it rained through the afternoon and my room was quite cool when i got home in the evening.

I am also thinking btw getting 1 or 2 small size catfish or cory for the bottom 3rd of the tank. Also looking at some loaches

I dun think i will go past 5 fishes in total for a tank of this size, bioload might kill it. so any other suggestions?

I have some fishes in mind bout was wondering if they would fight

a. fighting fish
b. puffer fish
c. african cichilds

any "top tier" fish that anyone can recommend ?
