Is it that this season we are hunting for goals or is it that our strikers do training overtime to practise shooting that they have almost perfected their art of scoring?

We seem to kill teams that are adventurous and come to OT to attack United.

The youngsters are doing quite well, except for the mistake goal let in by our 3rd choice keeper

The first goal we let in at OT. Bad mistake by the goalie.
Defense still need improving cos if we had met a better team we could have been punished.
Nice to see JM giving Shaw a full 2nd half tho we can see he lacks confidence and had reservations on those 50-50 balls and Blind's habit of holding on to the ball and waiting for opponents to "attack" him could be costly if meeting top tier teams.

Many of the players played really well against Burton.
Both Rashford and Martial did well to show that they are improving especially the former who shown much better maturity in leading the front line on his pwn.
They must maintain their confidence to play to their strength, and to do it well against the top teams too.

Man United announces $787 million record revenue for 2016/17

Whoa, that’s a lot of dough.

With the record television deals in place for the Premier League, there’s no wonder top clubs are doing so well financially.

Manchester United is right at the front of that, with the club posting a record revenue figure for the 2016/17 year.

The Old Trafford side has announced that it generated over $787 million during last season, after signing the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Red Devils also won three trophies — UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Community Shield — which certainly helped boost the club’s morale as well.

“We concluded a successful 2016-17 season with a total of three trophies [including the Community Shield] and a return to Champions League football,” said United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

“The year saw us set record revenues of over £581m and achieve a record EBITDA [Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization] of £199.8m. We are pleased with the investment in our squad and look forward to an exciting season.”

Overall, United has reportedly netted a profit of roughly $53 million, before taxes, and the club’s net debt has been reduced to around $288 million.

Woodward has estimated that United will generate in the range of $770 to $790 million for the 2017-18 fiscal year.

Yes who dare say we have a poor last season.

Getting richer is key as it enables club to buy good players. The results will follow and the commercial value of famous players bring, with an avalanche effect parachuting Man Utd to the top. Football is no more as simple as a sport but a corporate business indeed.

United: De Gea, Valencia, Bailly, Jones, Young, Matic, Fellaini, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rashford, Lukaku.

Subs: Romero, Blind, Smalling, Carrick, Herrera, Lingard, Martial.

Only one change to the squad that beat Everton last week, as Blind replaces Darmian on the bench.

Default Pogba may require surgery

Manchester United are set to make a decision about whether Paul Pogba needs surgery on his hamstring injury next week, sources have told ESPN FC.
The club have been in touch with Finnish muscle repair specialist Sakari Orava with a decision set to be made about whether or not surgery is required in the next few days.
