Default Anyone renewing COE this month?

Mine will expire 25th Sept.
If renew after 25th Sept and before oct 25, need to pay late charges of $100
but PQP will be lower in Oct by more than $100?
So is it worth it to delay?
Of course 25th Sept onwards, cannot use the car

Does it make sense?

I doubt LTA will let u capitalise on the "saving". Better check with them if late extention which month PQP will they let you use.

If you can renew based on Oct PQP, but only pay a late payment fee of $100, it's worth a thought. If you renew few days after 25 Sept, only inconvenienced for that few days.

Depending on Cat A or B, even if COE goes up a few thousands, chances are, you may still get to save (may not be much compared to Sept). Do your sums on how much you can save if COE goes up by few thousands.

Renew COE got to factor in lost of car scrap value, increase road tax, increase wear n tear replacement, in the end I scrap and buy another 7 years old car.

Mine at 160k start to break down in last 1 year. My mechanic told me to standby $10k for changing of important parts for air com compressor, fuel pump, break pump, don't know wat coil, gear box.
Either I one time decide to change or let it slowly break down then change.
