Default Java Moss as ground carpet.

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone of you tried making java moss as the carpet for your planted tank?

If any of you have experience doing this, kindly give me some pointers.

try my gallery under the march update, look for the non co2 tank with a bogwood in the centre of the tank. java moss as foregrd or carpet has this really wild feel to it. not much secrets i guess.....cool temp.....and voila, u get them growing......but slowly.

is it better to have them attached to driftwood or jus direct to gavel?

it's better to attach them to DW as they grows quite fast n are not as pretty looking than taiwan moss or other more pricey moss or foreground plants like HC or APP... they really gros to be like wild grass... very untidy... but then again it depends on ur taste... whether u go for e neat, organised look or e wild n messy look...

Bro...you can't directly 'plant' java moss to the gravel as it belongs to the creeper / epiphytic type of aquatic flora. If you want a nice carpet of java moss, the method would be to tie it to SS mesh.

Preferably to driftwood. I tried putting direct on the gravel and they grow wild...
