Sudden Snail infestation in FGT
hi , one of my FGT has a sudden infestation of snails , used to have some plants in there which i brought back from farm , threw them out few months back. recently saw all the snails every where.
Is there any solution to this problem or will i have to take out all the fishes and water and give the tank & filter a wash |

What kind of snails bro? I only experienced trumpet snails. I tried putting a piece of cucumber in the tank, then when a lot of snails gather on top, remove from tank. Repeated it quite a lot of times to get most of them.

Talking catfish supposedly eat snails. Most monster fish leave them alone as they are armoured and have spikes.

Read that assassin snails will hunt other snails and keep the population in check.

There are commercial snail removal medication selling in LFS, not sure if effective (personally not tried).

Thanks for all the suggestions , i guess adding other fishes in is not an option either ways as the current comm of monsters is peaceful , will try out the cucumber hopefully the monsters dont eat it.
