Likely that fat pbb is the most active in the tank and is a female. Hope to get them bigger, but ever since I lost 2pbb in my pond, I dare not put liao.

Anyway is there still active singapore facebook group on bichirs, exclude sales thread, that are still active? The one I know seem to stop posting for some time. Malaysia group also not as active. Only indonesia group still active with many sale lobangs.

not common for aro to attack bichirs...probably you can add in TFB...RH etc to distract your aro...

Thanks for the advice. I spotted injury marking on both the endi. Suspect they got whack when they suddenly swim up to gulp some air

Is your endi small? I had lost a 4-5inch endi when I add it to my tank with aro. It got wacked the moment the endi goes nto the tank. Thought it would be ok after it mix with other slightly bigger bichirs, but my aro only attack it.

Adding other tank mates may help.

Btw nice looking guinea endi, bro G2red.

Hi sifus, may i ask. My mokelebembe bichir keeps floating near the surfce and parks itself at that same spot for quite a while already today.
Is that indicative of anything? Ill or something. Its definitely not its normal behaviour.

Keep a eye on your water. Test it as it maybe a indication of high ammonia or nitrate. I lost 10 mokes last 2 months due to same symptoms. I thought nothing of it initially as my other bichirs are behaving normal and eathing well. It is only after I shift the remaining mokes to a 2ft tank with 'clean' water that they are back to normal now. Regret shifting them to my new tanks with my other upper jaw bichirs.

You may also need to see if it has has internal parasite. Sunken belly? Is it eating as per normal after u bring it home? Are there other fishes, like pleco, inside?

Mokes are very sensitive to 'dirty' water. Something wrong and they are the first to go.
Btw they are gentle fish and dun do well with agressive fishes as they too slow in taking their food.
