Default 2 Pc comm FAIL!

Dear all, I am totally lost, why can't just comm 2 pc of aros? I tried it last night took my XB out of the tank and place it into my HB's tank. First 5 mins or so it was all peaceful (as you can see from the vid). That's where it all ends, after that my HB even though smaller started whacking my XB!! When caudal fins break and pec fins torn that's when I decided to remove the XB and call it quits.

So end up I seperate them, gosh what went wrong? Is it really true that I can't comm 2 pieces together? And I am planning to get a 6 feet tank up in the coming year, so how pieces of adult fishes can live together comfortably?

Thanks in advance.

Think first 2mths you have to really brace yourself for the carnage. Scales dropping, scratches, tattered fins. Wave makers and dangling air stones mid way helps break up fights or shiny fast moving tank mates to distract their attention/aggression. But of course while this may work for me, it might not work for others. Only can pray they settle down or remove if the injury gets too serious.

Take both aro out and re-introduce them into the tank again.

Placing your XB into the HB tank is like the XB intruding into the HB territory.

Add wave maker, tankmates, feed them well, have a steel heart and hope for the best!

aro comm must have heart of steel...torn fins, drop scale are minor injury.
most imptly, is the aros must be eating well.
