Recommendations for easy grass-like carpet plant
Hi all,
I am looking for recommendations for easy grass-like carpet plant for my 3ft tank (not using soil for substrate), pumped with CO2 and weekly liquid fertilisers. Previously have tried the more demanding HC and glosso but not successful due to poor subtrate. I had success with a glass-like plant (should be Pygmy Chain Sword) but recently died suddenly after more than a year growing healthily. Hope to get some recommendations of plant types (don't mind trying Pygmy Chain Sword again) and which fish shops can I get them from (I stay in the North). My bottom feeders consist of mainly corydoras. Thank you! |

If u dont mind the look of moss, there are a few kinds that can spread quite fast along the substrate. But need rather regular trimmings due to the growth rate.

I find hairgrass to be a pretty hardy and easy growing carpet.
Perhaps its worth a try |

I already see some runners in my set up after 2-3 weeks. Dosed daily with liquid CO2 and liquid fert |
