Default Growing out small discus with adults

Sold some adults discus to made way for 6 small discus in my tank, which houses 6 adults. These 6 small discus were housed in a 2ft quarantine tank previously.
Have to add some 2kg of biohome media first.

Surprised that they get along so well, and the adults are not bullying the little ones at all, esp during meal time. None of the small discus are stressed or hiding, and they are eating very well.

Will have to give up some more discus once the small discus have grown up.
Here are some pics and a video.

The babies

A red juvenile with yellow adults. The colour contrast is strong.

Adults escorting juveniles

All of them

Video of them eating. These juveniles show no fear.

You must be quite lucky. I think depends on the temperament of each. For mine, the big or more aggressive ones will pick on the weaker or smaller ones.

Yeah. I was very skeptical intially about introducing these small fishes. But the adults only bicker amongst themselves, and the juveniles gets to eat and rest.

Nice ones bro!

what size is your tank? 3ft? I am thinking of doing something like this too.

What were you feeding them in the video? beef heart or worm?

Thanks. Yellow fishes are easy to match with other colour fishes.

The tank is 4ft, and i am feeding them beef heart. They finish their food very very fast, and whatever leftovers that drifted elsewhere is eaten by cories. So I am not worried about leftover problems. The tank is vacuum daily since i am growing out juveniles.

Thanks. I rescaped again and removed all gravel this time for the sake of the juveniles. They shit so much after every meal !!!

The yellow that is turning orangey at the side is the smaller one, it ate tetra bits, which strangely doesn't affect the big yellow.

Bro, since you are using growing out juveniles in the main tank, do you still do huge water change daily?
