Very nice fries, can see the color dorsal fin and blue color on the body of the fries even at such young fries.

using finger will be tough, unless you've got long nails...

I once use too much strength on a female lepto with the toothpick that I almost..... her mouth couldn't close fully for a while..

I would try to press a little on the lower back of the female's jaw, so that water will go in from the gill which will flash the fries out from the mouth..

Yeah, I do the same thing by pressing the jaw's lower back.

For my situation, I've tried both methods with nails and toothpick and somehow toothpick suits me better. Lesser harm was done to the female. To each his own

The female should have been holding for quiet sometime, looking at the condition of the fries.

btw, guys,

if I were to set up another tank and put both the fries and the parents together, Do you think the adult fish will feed on the fries ?
