Default Singtel Fibre 1 GB Broadband

Subscribed this Singtel 1gb fibre broadband quite sometime already. Lately it has been slow. Just now check the speed, it registered 173 mbps. After reset (off and on) the router, the speed was 866 mpbs for 1 connected device. Is this normal? Why the speed went down so low after sometime?

I am sitting just a few ft from the router and yet the speed changed from 173 to 866 mbps after resetting.

Interestingly, the signal strengh was 96 mbps. By off the wifi and on it back in my phone, the signal strength became 585 mbps.

I thought it was my router problem.

Wifi strength very weak or dont have at all.

My phones all unable to connect. Resetted it better.

Usually happens when there's a backend maintenance.
I'm on MR and we get notifications on any maintenance and to reboot should we experience slow downs after that.

I also experienced that in recent two years. Last time no. Is it a warning sign that something will breakdown like our trains?

TS, what is the speed when wired connect. Go to below link and test with either a desktop or laptop with wired. Speed should read somewhere near
1Gbps

https://www.singtel.com/personal/i/s...cal-speed-test

My is now 500Mbps and speedtest varies around 570-580Mbps.
Router is AC1200 from singtel.

I am sure can get 1gbps if wired connection. For wifi i get 866 mbps if reset but if I go out and come back to wifi, it will indicate low speed of 173 or even 96 mbps. So troublesome to reset everytime to get back the high speed signal. Is it normal for signal strength to keep on dropping? Or this is because of Singtel problem?
