WiFi available in 2.4ghz and 5ghz frequency bands. Dependent on router but most newer routers offer both.
2.4ghz is slower but better range. 5ghz is faster but shorter range.
2.4ghz technically can support up to 400-600mbps and 5ghz up to 1300mbps

But lots of household devices also use the 2.4ghz bandwidth so it’s congested. End up, under good conditions, you’ll usually get 100+mbps.
5ghz less congested but not many WiFi client can support that high a speed. So usually will be 300++mbps.
For example, my iPhone 7+ can get 450+mbps on 5ghz

So for HDB, is the range ok for 5Ghz?
Also for Singtel fibre router, is it 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz?

Now mostly is dualband liao. But the router from ST cmi leh. Wireless at times get low or disconnected. My router already replaced 3 sets and yet still same problem. End up i got the tplnk AC1900, now using so smooth. My plan is 500mbps.

The ST router works as intended. Better ones out there of course.
I use Asus AC68U. Coverage much better than ST router.
5ghz with router in living room, bedroom usually cannot get good signal.

If you are referring the connect speed just to the router alone;

1) My phone (not dualband) is at 65-72mbps.
2) CO tablet at 351mbps
3) Laptop at max 433mbps (via AC600 adaptor)
4) Desktop at max 876mbps (via AC1200 adaptor)

If first 3 items move around the hse speed varies.

I currently still on a 10Mbps broadband and intend to upgrade to fiber.

Wonder if my current devices : 2pc, 1 laptop and 1 mac laptop. Are these devices able to use their current wireless adapter if I upgrade to fiber? I don't intend to use cable. Thanks.

Go to device manager and check the properties of the network adapter
