I am 46.those in my era will know that then Pri school there is such thing call extended course to do 8 year Pri sch.

I was 1 of them. I did well enough in p6 extended and school offer me a chance to take p5 normal exam to prove that I am ready to return to p6 normal, it was just 2-3 weeks after exam and I forgot almost everything.. I pity those retaking a level where break is much longer.

A few days after exam already forget as much as 5O%. Exam is about peaking at the right time. To ask them to peak again, it can be very painful.

In the past, we were advised to even forget the exam papers that we just finished and to focus on the next one.

& again 3 days later, and again 3 weeks later and .........

Agreed.

Also different students have different patterns. Some consistent but some depend on last Chiong.

If they check my prelim result, I die. Every A level subject I actually improved by 2-3 grades.
