Nice.
Similar to what i got except yours looks better. Got any cover? I think by adding a cover to the container you can lengthen the "lifespan" of kalk so it the kalk solution won't expire to quickly.

Hi all bros, you all drip kalkwasser everyday or weekly? Will it affect the PH if drip daily?
Coconut3, I also made a bottle like yours, but yours nicer, hehe, I uses those coca cola 1.5 litres bottle, but at the green switch where I attach it to the bottle, it drips, and I end up throwing it away. I uses silicon to attach it, how do you attach it in order for it to stop dripping? BTW, when I open the switch to drip kalkwasser to the tank, it drip very fast, even if I just open a little hole, the minimum already. Its about 3 - 5 drops per seconds. I hope to get 1 drop per second. How do you do it? |

DIY rules!
Like Kalib said, maybe you could add a cover, not so tight though. Co2 will damage kalkwasser solution. |

I think how much kalk should be dosed should be dependant on each person's tank rather than follow instructions and drip blindly. I just followed instructions and dripped daily, ended up pushing my calcium to 600ppm and dkH to 16 or 17.

Correct, if there is no Calcium hungry animals in the tank like SPS/LPS/clam, then there is no need even to drip kalkwasser. Just doing regular and frequent water changes can help replace lost Ca/alk/trace elements.
