The 6 City Harvest Church (CHC) leaders convicted of misappropriating millions of dollars for their Crossover project will finally return to the High Court on 7th April 2017. The accused will come before Judge of Appeal Chao Hick Tin, Justice Woo Bih Li and Justice Chang Seng Onn. Their appeal outcomes is expected to be announced at 9.30am.
State Prosecutors have appealed to the Singapore High Court to not only uphold the convictions but to also increase the jail sentences of all 6 CHC leaders. They proposed raising Kong Hee's jail sentence from the initial 8 years to 12 years.
As for the 2 females among the 6 CHC leaders, Serina Wee will face an increase of 6 years in jail to 12 years while Sharon Tan is looking at a 6 year sentence, the shortest sentence among the accused.
