Cut both sides, so that the cray can "escape" from being pursuit.

is aquarium salt necessary for keeping white crayfish?
if so how much salt should i add?

anyone knows the ideal water parameters for white crayfish?
thanks in advance
Procambarus clarkii (White colour morph for your case) is generally quite adaptable to various conditions and is considered hardy.

Room temperture will suffice for this species.

Neutral to slightly alkaline pH is okay, but try not to have acidic pH, since the shell of the crayfishes contain calcium carbonate, which is not inert to acids. Other water conditions are similar to fishes, try to have zero ammonia, zero nitrite and as low as possible for nitrates. Water parameter testing is not typically required and regular water changes (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, depending on your diligence) will maintain the water conditions.

Salt is not necessary and but can be used to remove external parasites, such as worms which may reside on the shell of the crayfishes, as a salt bath/dip. A couple of minutes will do.

I dropped by C328 today and here is the stock report.

Polyart:
Common Blue (medium/large, many)

C328:
Bright Red/Orange (medium, one) (looks like Procambarus clarkii colour morph from the shape of the body and claw, similar to those on Tokyo Blue Claws website)
Common Blue (small/medium, many)
Blue Moon (medium, one)
White (medium, one)

my simple 2 feet cray tank, any tips on how to improve it?
housing 2 white cray shouldn't be an issue right?

Be careful about them climbing out via the pipe.
