Pics of Pterophyllum Scalares "Santa Isabel" to share
Hi Folks,
It's been more than a year since I got my first pair of Santa Isabel angelfish. It was indeed a dream come true to be able to get my hands on these "holy grail" of wild scalares. http://www.arofanatics.com/forums/sh...t=santa+isabel After that, I've went on to acquire another 3 more batches.... Below are just some pics of my collection to share. Enjoy! First batch (still in the bags) Fish released into box for first stage sterilisation before QT. Check out the yellowish finnage! Before the QT process. Pics of an awesome specimen! Another group shot. To be continue..... |

Just to share....
The QT process of the first batch was quite an experience. They were first hit by Aeromonas bacteria infection (septicemia etc). And after about 2 weeks of treatment, just when I thought everything was fine, the batch was hit by another outbreak at week 4. Eventually I lost a few of the weaker ones. But the saving grace is that I managed to get another 2 pairs out of the surviving ones. This is on top of the original bonded pair that I got from Aquahobby earlier on. |
