Doing some experiment on lightings. Has been running 1 light set with 2 arcadia light tube on top of the tank for some time. Just added another 2ft led light on top of tank to increase brightness.

Pics taken 3 days after light set added in. Can see the lemon based starting to return.

Hopefully the color can brighten more and match the below super stable IT soon.

Bro betppl,

Your ST looking better than before....such thick solid bar
I realized all your fishes staying at the bottom? Could that be the reason your ST lack of colors? Try add a big aro into tank and see wat happens

Put in another tank, the color will come back all up

Nice ST you have.

Actually this is 1st time for me to see an unstable ST.
Could it be the water parameter that is affecting?

I've only IT. and they will turn slight unstable giving me indication to change water. After water change of 80-90%, they are back to shining and stable.

Bro betpple, ever consider to experiment put white tiles on your tank floor? This will brighten up the tank n perhaps bring your STs back to full glory?

Bro sbtanpatrick, thank you for your kind advice. Experimenting with the lightings now. Will do experiment on water change impact once I have time.

Bro Luc, I am trying to establish to why the STs are behaving that way in my tank. This situation is a bit puzzled given that some of my small ITs in the same tank are super stable 24/7. The tank already has a big VIP red in it. I agree with you that putting in another tank may help though.

Bro itchy, that is one of the experiment that I am planning to conduct too. Thank you for your advice.

The small IT are stable cu there are bigger fishes around?
